Vernon, Dai (David Frederick Wingfield Verner). Dai Vernon Lecture Ticket & Flyer. [St. Louis, 1947]. Printed ticket, rubber-stamped with number ?49,? for Vernon?s May 10, 1947 lecture at the Jefferson Hotel. Text bills it as a ?four-hour lecture on magic?lecture notes furnished.? One-page flyer describes the lecture further, announcing that the $6 admission price includes illustrated notes, and alludes to the fact that a previous lecture in Columbus, Ohio, lasted some seven hours. 2 3/8 x 3 5/8?. Corner bumps to ticket, old folds to flyer. It is interesting to note that the $6 admission price ($5 for the ticket and $1 for tax) charged for this lecture is roughly equivalent to $70 in 2019.
