DEVANT, David (David Wighton, 1868 ? 1941). David Devant Signed Theatrical Contract. Dated July 1915, Devant agrees to appear with ?his illusion act and five other acts" for six nights, for which he will be paid 60% of the receipts. Typed and handwritten amendments describe the type of advertising agreed to (2000 lithographs and letterpress bills). With the rubber stamp of his manager, Julian Wylie, and SIGNED by Devant in ink. Old folds, toning; very good.
