DOYLE, Arthur Conan (1859-1930). Memories and Adventures. London: Hodder and Stoughton, n.d. [18 September 1924].Large 8vo. Portrait frontispiece of the author and 7 plates. Original dark blue cloth, spine lettered in gilt (a touch of rubbing at extreme ends and corners, few minor spots of soiling to covers); original dust jacket (spine sunned, some soiling or staining to panels, extremities chipped with some losses). Provenance: Glenn Joseph Shea (bookplate and rubberstamp); Henry Knight (ownership signature dated 1925).FIRST ENGLISH EDITION of Doyle?s episodic memoirs, originally published in Strand Magazine, October 1923. A title rarely seen in the original dust jacket. Green and Gibson B34a.
