London: George Redway, 1899.4to. 69 portraits and facsimile plates, all with descriptive tissue guards. 19th century full green levant morocco, boards decoratively paneled in gilt with floral cornerpieces, spine ruled and lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, top edge gilt, gilt board-edges and turn-ins, green watered silk pastedowns and doublures (spine toned, some chipping to spine and corners, some faint soiling, several gutters cracking or starting, a few descriptive tissue guards chipped or torn, some occasional dampstaining in text, light toning to text).FIRST EDITION.
