New York: Random House, [1950]. 8vo. 900, [6, blank] pp. Publisher's full gray cloth, spine stamped in gilt and blue, publisher's unclipped (?$4.75") dust jacket (cloth spine sunned, boards a bit rubbed and toned at edges, light offsetting to endleaves; jacket toned, edgeworn, some chipping, marginal tears). A fine copy in a very good jacket. THE RARE FIRST EDITION, FIRST PRINTING, FIRST ISSUE. The title-page is printed in blue and black, top edge stained blue, and ?The Collected Stories of Willaim Faulkner" is stamped on the spine (the ?The" is dropped in later issues). 17 of the 42 stories were previously uncollected.
