Late 19th century full speckled calf gilt, green and brown morocco lettering?pieces gilt, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers, gilt dentelles (light chipping to crown of Volume I). Provenance: Spencer Eddy (1873?1939), bookplate of the American diplomat who served as U.S. Minister to Argentina and Romania. A HANDSOME SET. ?? [With:] FIELDING. The Tragedy of Tragedies; or, The Life and Death of Tom Thumb the Great. Narberth, PA: by Robert L. Dothard, 1932. 8vo. Half green morocco gilt, marbled sides, top edge gilt (light rubbing along joints); slipcase. LIMITED EDITION, one of 60 copies.
