FLEURY?HUSSON, Jules Francois Felix (?Champfleury?) (1821?1889). Les Chats. Paris: J. Rothschild, 1870. 8vo. EXTRA?ILLUSTRATED WITH 28 ENGRAVINGS OF CATS, numerous in text vignettes. Later green cloth, morocco lettering?piece gilt, original printed wrappers bound in. Provenance: Bibliotque Deprins (book label). Fourth edition, first published in 1869. INSCRIBED BY CHAMPFLEURY to Henry de P?ne (1830?1888) on half?title. De P?ne was a French journalist and writer for Le Figaro. This is Champfleury?s most sought?after work.
