[FINE BINDINGS AND SETS]. FORESTER, C. S. (1899-1966). Set of 14 Leather-Bound First Edition Titles from the "Hornblower" Series. London: Michael Joseph, 1937-1962. 8vos. 14 volumes. Uniformly bound in modern half blue calf over (various designs) marbled boards, spines ruled and tooled in gilt in compartments, red gilt morocco lettering labels. FIRST EDITIONS.
Condition
Some occasional toning, soiling, wear in text, minor rubbing to bindings, one volume (Hornblower and the Crisis) bound without preliminaries and title-page (this volume is presumed to be a first edition). Still, a fine set.
