[FINE BINDINGS AND SETS]. Group of 8 Sets, 6 in Leather. [V.p., ca. 19th - 20th centuries]. 12mos and 8vos. All but two bound in leather.
Condition
General wear, soiling, scuffing, some joints or hinges starting or cracked, some soiling in text, occasional ownership markings. Generally good or better.
- Provenance
Sets include: Shakespeare (Handy Standard Edition, 13 cloth volumes in box - lid is separated), Novels and Tales of J. M. Barrie (11 out of 12 cloth volumes - missing Peter and Wendy volume), Les Vies des Dames Gallantes by Brantome (3 volumes one volume with loose boards), Boswell's Life of Johnson (1824, 5 volumes, worn), Boswell's Life of Johnson (10 volumes in 5, 1872 in special "crocodile" leather), History of Spain and Portugal (3 volumes, 1835), Guizot's History of England (5 volumes, 1889), George Eliot's Works (16 out of 17 volumes, one volume with loose boards).
