[FINE BINDINGS]. PEPYS, Samuel (1633-1703). The Diary of Samuel Pepys, M. A. F. R. S? Edited with Additions by Henry B. Wheatley F. S. A. London: George Bell & Sons, 1899-1900. 8vos. Illustrated. 10 volumes. Beautifully bound by Roger de Coverly & Sons in contemporary half brown morocco over marbled boards, spines ruled and lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, top edges gilt, marbled endleaves (minor rubbing, sunning to spines, some rubbing to bindings, text a bit toned). Fine. The third issue of the 1894 edition of this version of Pepys' Diary. From the renowned personal collection of Dr. George D. Lacy. Measurements: 8 x 5 x 1".
