- Lot Description
[FINE BINDINGS]. SCOTT, Sir Walter (1771-1832). The Poetical Works of Sir Walter Scott, Bart. Edinburgh: Adam and Charles Black, 1868. Small 8vos. Illustrated with frontispieces and engraved title-pages. 12 volumes. Handsomely bound in contemporary full red levant morocco, boards double-ruled in gilt and paneled in gilt with several black morocco onlays, spines tooled and lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, gilt turn-ins, marbled endleaves, all edges gilt (spines uniformly toned, some wear to spines, corners and joints, occasional scuff marks to boards). Very good.
