[FINE PRINTING]. The Lorsch Gospels. New York: George Braziller, [1967]. Folio. Unpaginated. With facsimile pages in color and black and white of the original manuscript. [With:] the descriptive illustrated booklet featuring photos of the original ivory covers of the original manuscript. Facsimile in publisher's quarter vellum backstrip over red cloth boards, spine lettered in gilt, booklet in publisher's plain wrappers, both housed in publisher's gray slipcase. THE HANDSOME FACSIMILE EDITION OF THIS EARLY MANUSCRIPT GOSPEL, #199/1000 COPIES.
Condition
Spine of facsimile a bit toned, soiled, minor rubbing to binding, occasional foxing to endleaves; booklet wrappers soiled, upper corner of booklet slightly creased; slipcase worn, soiled, scuffed, with some minor splitting. Facsimile volume is fine, booklet is very good, slipcase is fair.
