French, American and British Pioneer Pilots and Aces Photos. 1914-1920s. 27 original photos of French, American and British aviators from the World War I period. Includes photos of and many decorated pilots including. John Moisant (first to carry a passenger and to fly from Paris to London, Jules Vedrines reception at Aero Club de France, Attilio Baldioli, Italian pioneer, 1912 military Farman biplane equipped with Lewis gun, studio portrait of Pierre Auguste Roques, founder of France?s air force, Burgess-Wright Hydroaeroplane, Rene Fonck, Kenneth Moore squadron, Andre Beaumont after winning the British Circuit, portraits of J. A. D. McCurdy and Howard W. Gill, and others. Many mounted on 9 x 7? cards. Largest 8 x 10?. Good.
