[HEMINGWAY, Ernest (1899-1961), association]. Original Telegram from Hemingway to Esquire Editor / Publisher Arnold Gingrich (1903-1976). Key West, FL via Chicago, IL: Western Union, 1938 Mar 3. Telegram on Western Union paper with pasted telegram text. Approximately 6 ½ x 8”.
Condition
Toned, some general wear, creases. Very good.

"Air mailed piece yesterday morning hope like Stop You do Visograph Stop Please in any notes or mention dont say any more than serviced on Italian front during war author Farewell to Arms Stop Piece very strong eye think Stop Maybe wrong plenty more where it came from regards = Ernest." It is unclear what piece Hemingway mentions - he didn't have anything published in Esquire in 1938 until the November issue, a story titled The Denunciation.
