HERRMANN, Alexander (1844 ? 96). Herrmann Cigar Box Label. American, ca. 1890. Gilt-embossed stone lithographed label depicts an artist?s portrait of Herrmann the magician, in Mephistophelean attire with his trademark moustache and van dyke, blowing a cloud of smoke from his lips in which appears his name in gold script. 6 x 10?. Near fine. RARE; the first example we have offered.
