HILLERMAN, Tony (1925-2008). The First Eagle. [New York:] Harper Collins Publishers, [1998]. 8vo. 278 pp. Publisher’s black backstrip over off-white boards, front board and spine stamped in turquoise, publisher’s unclipped (“$25.00”) dust jacket, later brown cloth slipcase.
Condition
A few minor small ink spots in text. Fine. FIRST TRADE EDITION, SIGNED BY HILLERMAN ON THE TITLE-PAGE; THIS BOOK WITH THREE ORIGINAL INK AND WATERCOLOR DRAWINGS AND TWO INK DRAWINGS BY ERNEST FRANKLIN, ALL SIGNED BY HIM. Franklin (b. 1942) was a frequent collaborator with Hillerman, providing illustrations with numerous Hillerman titles.
