HIND, Henry Youle (1823?1908). Narrative of the Canadian Red River Exploring Expedition of 1857 and of the Assinniboine and Saskatchewan Exploring Expedition of 1858. London: Longman, Green, Longman, and Roberts, 1860. 2 volumes. 8vo. [20], 494; [16], 472 pp. FIRST EDITION. 8 maps and plans (3 folding), 20 chromoxylographic plates, and numerous intertextual vignettes (trifle spotting to few plates). Contemporary maroon pebbled cloth ruled in blind, spine titled in gilt, brown coated endpapers (spine ends rubbed, corners gently bumped, front hinge starting in Vol. I, occasional fingering to outer margins). Lande 1235; Sabin 31934.
