HOUDINI, Harry (Erik Weisz, 1874 ? 1926). Houdini TLS Regarding Spiritualism and Vintage Photograph. Typed not on Houdini?s stationery with his New York address, addressed to Oliver Barrett of Chicago and written on May 13, 1926. It reads, in part, ?Governor Al Smith of New York vetoed the spiritualists bill of which I am sending you an original.? Matted with a vintage sepia tone bust portrait of the magician in coat and tie. Handsome gilt frame, 14 x 20 ??. Not examined out of frame. Boldly SIGNED in ink ?Houdini.?
