THURSTON, Howard (1869 - 1936). Howard Thurston Paper Advertising Label. Circa 1902. Large color pictorial paper label with scalloped edges bears a central portrait of a young Thurston, captured just as he was rising to fame as a music hall star, and bearing his title "Premier Card Manipulator of the World" below the likeness, and a good luck message in the cards at the right of his portrait. Diameter 2 3/4". Very minor wear to edges; very good. RARE.
