HOUDINI, Harry (Erik Weisz, 1874 - 1926). Inscribed and Signed Harry and Bess Houdini Portrait. Chicago: Butler, ca. 1925. Portrait of the Houdinis, captured with Bess's arms wrapped around her husband's neck, both sitters smiling for the camera. 10 x 8". INSCRIBED AND SIGNED to magician Bill Amac in the upper right: "To Amac / Best wishes / Houdini."
Amac was an inventive British magician and stage illusionist who created a version of the venerable Three Card Monte swindle, performed with giant cards hanging from a stage batten, and using a live female assistant as the lady.
