Joseffy (Joseph Freud). Four Signed Joseffy Letters. Spanning May ? August of 1945, the mechanician and magician writes to fellow performer ?Doc? Mahendra (Frank Sterling) regarding a range of topics, including trouble with his health. In one missive, he offers tantalizing details about his interactions with Okito and Fu-Manchu in Mexico, commenting that Okito hopes to move to Boston and ?open a magic shop there.? Three TLSs and one ALS, the former on two different Joseffy letterheads. Old folds and wear. All three signed boldly in ink, ?Joseffy.? Scarce.
