Karl Gerich ?The Four Elements? Etched Uncut Sheet Playing Card Courts. [Bath, 1983]. Etching with hand-coloring including gilt illumination. Original court designs by Gerich, single-ended, on the theme the four elements of earth (wind, fire, earth and water). Two queens depicted with mermaid tails, two with bird legs; jacks depicted on winged beasts; kings shown with grotesque beasts and animals at their feet. Platemark 7 x 13 ?; sheet 11 x 17 ??. RARE; from an unknown edition size.
