LAWRENCE, Sir Thomas (1769-1830). Autograph Note Signed with Envelope. [Ca. early 19th century]. Note signed with initials (?T.L.?) and signed manuscript envelope. Sight of letter 5 ? x 4 ??, sight of envelope 2 ? x 4?. Matted and framed with a later portrait of Lawrence and a color print of his portrait of Elizabeth Farren, 17 x 25?. Letters a bit faded, soiled, two visible horizontal creases, some wear to frame. Very good. Lawrence was one of the greatest portrait painters of the Regency; two of his most famous paintings are his portraits of the Duke of Wellington (1814) and ?Pinkie? (Sarah Barrett Moulton, 1794).
