LINCOLN, Abraham (1809-1865). Autograph Note Signed. Springfield, Ills., Oct. 23, 1860. Addressed ?Theodore J. Steele, Esq." On plain white paper, recto only. Signed ?A. Lincoln". Approximately 7 ? x 5 ?". Two horizontal creases, some soiling on recto and verso, two small areas of glue residue on verso. Near fine. ?My dear Sir Below is my auto. Graph, according to your request Yours truly A. Lincoln". This note is dated about two weeks before Lincoln was elected President of the United States. From the renowned personal collection of Dr. George D. Lacy. Measurements: 8"L x 6"W x 1"H.
