- Lot Description
[LITHOGRAPHY]. Group of Two Checks and Five Printer?s Cards. [V.p., ca. 19th century]. Two checks with printed vignettes of railroads and Native Americans, and Five printer?s cards on cardstock, three with vignettes. Sizes range from 2 x 3 ?? to 11 ? x 8 ??. Some occasional wear, soiling, one check has been filled-out in ink with some tape repairs to verso, a few printer?s cards have scuffing or paper residue on versos. Excellent. Banks or printers include Cincinnati Daily Enquirer, Commercial Bank of Brooklyn (bank info is hand-written and not printed on check), Morris, Clawson & Co. Steam Printers (two cards), P. R. Way & H. P. Lincoln printers, S. N. Dickinson & Co. Book Printing, Thos. G. Morrison, Ornamental Carver & Designer. From the Mark Rucker Collection.
