[LITHOGRAPHY OR ENGRAVINGS]. Group of Six Nineteenth-Century Wisconsin State Treasurer Checks or Receipts, Including Two for Civil War Soldiers. Madison, WI: State Treasurer?s Office, ca. 1860s. Lithographed or engraved checks approximately 3 ? x 8?. All signed with endorsement inkstamps or punch holes and with revenue stamps. Occasional wear, soiling. Very good. One check is written from the War Fund for Families of Volunteers; the other Civil War item is a receipt of pay from the Allotment Fund for a member of the D. 30 Regiment, Wisconsin volunteers.
