Hand-colored overhead view of Blamont in Lorraine, engraved by Joris Hoefnagle (1542-1601). Text within decorative borders, two figures (two women?) in the foreground. Matted, framed, and glazed. Visible area: 480 x 315 mm. Framed size: 491 x 654 mm. Map is lightly toned with some mild foxing, central vertical crease, a few other faint creases visible. Not examined out of frame. Color scheme is a bit different than other copies seen on the market. And: BRAUN, Georg (1541-1622) and HOGENBERG, Frans (1535-1590). Nordovicum Angilae Civitas. [Cologne, ca. 1572]. Hand-colored overhead view of Norwich engraved by Joris Hoefnagle (1542-1601). Text within decorative borders, two figures (a man and a woman) in the foreground. Text on verso (seen through offsetting from verso). Matted, framed and glazed. Visible area: 442 x 317 mm. Framed size: 619 x 490 mm. Map is somewhat foxed, with a central vertical crease, and two creases (tears?) near the right side. Not examined out of frame. Color scheme is a bit different from other copies offered at auction.
