- Lot Description
[MARLEY, Bob (1945-1981)]. Card Inscribed by Bob Marley with Accompanying Backstage Photographs. 14 June 1978. Inscription in blue ink on light green paper mounted on cream-colored board with two photographs of Bob Marley during his performance at the Pinecrest Country Club on 14 June 1978 in Shelton, Conn. Overall size 14 x 11?. On and off through the 1970s Bo Overlock worked for the Average White Band, with acting as an occasional chaperone for the band?s wives among his duties. After finding out that Bob Marley was playing nearby Bo placed a call to Marley?s management and requested four tickets for his upcoming show at the Pinecrest Country Club; a request which was immediately granted. This autograph was obtained by Bo Overlock during a short meeting with Marley just before he went onstage that night. Provenance: The Bo Overlock Collection.
