MATANIA, Fortunino (Italian, 1881-1963). Helen Watching Menelaus and Paris Fight from the Walls of Troy. [N.p., ca. 20th century]. Gouache on paper depicting Helen watching her husband Menelaus fighting her would-be suitor, Paris. Signed at lower left. Sight approximately 10 ? x 18 ?". Matted and framed under plexiglass. Frame size approximately 17 x 25 ?". Minor occasional soiling. Fine. This handsome illustration may have been done for the Illustrated London News. Not examined out of frame. From the Collection of Louis A. Irmo. Measurements: 17 x 2 x 2".
