MAX, Peter (b. 1937). The 33rd Annual Grammy Awards Poster Inscribed by Peter Max. 1990. Original poster depicting a colorfully-painted classic gramophone silhouette against a black background. Framed 24 x 19?. Light creases. INSCRIBED BY PETER MAX TO BO OVERLOCK. Primarily known for his psychedelic and pop art pieces, Peter Max?s work has often served as a shorthand for 1960s counterculture; his poster design for the second ?Be-In? gathering during Easter weekend 1967 in Central Park solidified his reputation as the ?visual spokesman? of the counterculture. Provenance: The Bo Overlock Collection.
