FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR TO LARRY McMURTRY in the year of publication: ?For Larry- Here?s a little something you?ll probably have no interest in- Love- (See you soon)- Peter?. Bogdanovich and McMurtry were close friends and avid film buffs. The two wrote several screenplays together including that Academy Award-winning The Last Picture Show which Bogdanovich also directed, based on McMurtry?s 1966 novel of the same name.
