[McMURTRY, Larry (1936-2021), his copy]. HUNTINGTON, Ellsworth (1876-1947). The Pulse of Asia. A Journey in Central Asia Illustrating the Geographic Basis of History. Boston and New York: Houghton, Mifflin and Company, 1907. FIRST EDITION by the author best-known for his studies on the influence of climate on civilization. In 1901, Huntington explored the canyons of the Euphrates River in Turkey and traveled through central Asia between 1903 and 1906. These travels are published here for the first time.
