MECRACKEN, Sara L. Elsie Ainslie. A Victim of Social Wrong. Springfield, Mass: Star Publishing Co., 1885.12mo. Original printed light blue wrappers (this copy with text bound-in upside-down, spine and wrappers toned, some edgewear, tears to spine and corners, some occasional wear). A near fine example of this scarce and fragile item, addressing the horror of forced underage marriage. Only one other copy has been at auction since 1992.
