MILLER, R. A. (American, 1912-2006). A group of 3 original paintings. Including: Star Clown. Circa 1980s-1990s. Acrylic and marker on ?? thick wooden board. 11 ? x 11?. Some rubbing, light surface dirt. Signed by Miller on the lower left corner. [Together with:] Colorful Dinosaur. Circa 1980s-1990s. Acrylic and marker on ?? wooden board. 17 ? x 10?. Some rubbing, wear. Signed by Miller on the lower left corner. [Together with:] Uncle Sam and Oskar. Circa 1980s-1990s. Acrylic and marker on ?? wooden board. 18 x 17?. Some rubbing, mild wear. An excellent group of this important folk artist?s work. Miller lived nearly his entire life on the property that he was born on; he was a self-taught artist and used his artwork to spread the word of God. Using mainly paint and marking pen on scraps he could find; he was able to produce an impressive and highly sought-after body of work. Provenance:?purchased directly from the artist.
