MONAGHAN, Ted (British, 20th century). A Pair of Original Humorous Sherlock Holmes Cartoon Drawings. [England: ca. 1990s]. Both drawings are full-color mixed media on illustration board, and both are signed at lower corners. Both with printed captions. Including: ?My deductions Watson, lead me to believe, that this is the outcome, of what seems to have been, a divergence of opinion, regarding the nature of the beast?. This drawing depicts Holmes, Watson and a constable in Baskerville Hall in a room filled with five murder victims (including the hound). Sight 13 ? x 18 ??. Matted and framed under plexiglass 26 ? x 29?. And ?If my deductions are correct, this is the habitat of a chauvinistic, empirical, musically inept, misogynistic, nicotine and drug-using, egotistical, self-opinionated, fascist bastard.? ?Nice to be home again, eh, Watson?? Sight approximately 11 ? x 15 ??. Matted approximately 15 ? x 19?. Mild wear, occasional light soiling to mat. Drawing is fine.
