Illustrated with 36 chromolithographic plates. 371; 452 pp. Each volume bound with British or American prospectusses of various parts at the end. Contemporary half red morocco over marbled boards, spines lettered in gilt on compartments, five raised bands. FIRST ENGLISH LANGUAGE EDITIONS OF BOTH VOLUMES OF THIS BEAUTIFULLY ILLUSTRATED ORNITHOLOGY BOOK.
Condition
Spines sunned and heavily worn, joints cracking, hinges starting, boards worn, soiled, scuffed, text toned with occasional minor thumbsoiling. Still, good.
