Illustrated with 8 color-plates and pictorial endlaves. 199 pp. Publisher's full black cloth, pictorial paper label on front board, spine lettered in gilt, publisher's later (ca. 1928) price-clipped dust jacket. FIRST ILLUSTRATED EDITION THUS.
Minor rubbing to cloth binding, corners a bit bumped, endleaves and text very lightly toned and occasionally foxed; jacket with several tape repairs or other repairs on verso, jacket toned, soiled, somewhat worn, with several marginal short tears or chips. A fine copy in a good later jacket; despite this being a later jacket, it is still uncommon.
