HAN Ping Chien (1891 – 1930). Performance Portrait of Han Ping Chien. Berlin: J. Staudt, ca. 1915. Full-length image shows the Chinese magician in a long robe with a small white ball in one hand. On a stiff card, 9 x 6 7/8". With an embossed red label from the Chevalier Ernst Thorn collection affixed at the top, and SIGNED by Thorn in the lower right. Sold with a large clipped pictorial ad for Han from an English theatrical paper.
