HOUDINI, Harry (Erik Weisz, 1874 - 1926). Photograph of Houdini in the Water Torture Cell. Circa 1915. Black-and white photo captures a stage scene, with Houdini secured in the cell upside down, and four assistants flanking the device, including Franz Kukol and James Collins. Three of the assistants are dressed in rain slickers. The cell is outfitted with an internal steel cage, an element not always present during the escape. 3 3/8 x 5".
