Illustrated with tinted frontispiece of City Hall, plus 96 (of 97) mounted albumen photographs of important men of Chicago. 693 pp. Publisher's full brown morocco over beveled boards, boards and spine decoratively stamped in black, spine lettered in gilt, brass clasp. FIRST EDITION OF THIS AMBITIOUS PHOTOGRAPHIC RECORD OF THE IMPORTANT MEN OF CHICAGO, PRE-FIRE.
Condition
Binding heavily worn, soiled, scuffed, hinges cracked or broken, several pages are loose, text toned, several leaves chipped, some wrinkling to text and mounts, gift inscription on loose front blank. Fair. Sold as-is, not subject to return.
