[PHOTOGRAPHY]. [LINCOLN, Abraham (1809-1865), subject]. [BRADY, Matthew (1822-1896)]. Carte de Visite of Abraham Lincoln with His Son, Thomas (?Tad"). New-York: [Brady's National Photographic Portrait Galleries?, ca. 1860s]. Mounted albumen carte de visite of Lincoln looking at a volume (most likely the Brady sample catalog) with Tad looking on. Brady's backmark on verso. Printed caption: ?Brady / New-York". Albumen approximately 3 ? x 2". Mount approximately 4 x 2 ?". Minor toning, rubbing, faint thumbsoiling on recto and verso. Fine. An excellent example of this familiar image of Lincoln as a father. From the renowned personal collection of Dr. George D. Lacy. Measurements: 4 x 2 ?".
