HERRMANN, Adelaide (1853 - 1932). Portrait of Adelaide Herrmann as a Young Woman. Circa 1870 (possibly printed later). Full-length image of Adelaide Scarcez, who began her career as a dancer and trick bicycle rider, and who would go on to co-star in Herrmann's magic show and become the "Queen of Magic" in vaudeville. Approximately carte de visite size, 3 7/8 x 2 1/2".
