[RACKHAM, Arthur (1867-1939), illustrator]. Some British Ballads. London: Constable & Co., [ca. 1919]. 4to. [10], 170 pp. With mounted frontispiece and 15 mounted plates (each with a printed tissue guard). Also with 24 illustrated head-pieces and with text ornaments of eagles, snakes, dragons, and other animals and mythological creatures. Original quarter vellum cream boards ruled in gilt with elaborate gilt pictorial stamping. Spine stamped and lettered in gilt. Top edge gilt. #317/575 DELUXE COPIES SIGNED BY RACKHAM.
Condition
Some rubbing, light soiling, toning to binding, endleaves offset, small gift inscription on fp., dated 1919.
