- Lot Description
Kelty, Edward (American, 1888 ? 1967). Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Combined Circus. New Haven, Conn. June 13, 1934. Sepia-toned panoramic photograph of the hundreds of cast and crew members of the circus, clowns dominating the front row. Various side show performers can be spotted throughout, amony many others. Date, credit, and title in negative. 12 x 20?. Mounted to Masonite panel, with some losses in margins, and scattered abrasions. While sharing the title of the photograph in the previous lot, the images are slightly different, the exposures apparently captured moments apart.
