SALAS, Osvaldo (Cuban, 1914-1992). Rocky Marciano. 1955. Later printing (1990s) by Roberto Salas from original negative. Silver gelatin print depicts Rocky Marciano and the great gash he sustained in his left nostril during his second match-up against Ezzard Charles on September 17. 1954. 16 x 20?. SIGNED AND DATED. Blind-stamp in corner. Limited edition number 9 of 50 copies. Salas?s first published photograph in Life magazine. Salas, Fidel?s Cuba, p. 13.
