[SAN FRANCISCO]. Where to Sin in? Preface by Beniamino Bufano. [San Francisco:] Jack Lord & Jenn Shaw, 1939. Small 8vo. Numerous illustrations by Lloyd Hoff. Plastic comb-bound pictorial wrappers (some light toning, rear wrapper corner slightly clipped). RARE FIRST EDITION, first printing with ?many drawings by Lloyd Hoff?. Later printings vary slightly, replacing the previous statement with the words ?illustrated by?. During the mid-20th century, San Francisco earned the reputation as a ?sin city? due to its association with counterculture movements and liberal attitudes.
