- Lot Description
Sign-Changing Minstrel Automaton. Female minstrel figure with realistic hair and cloth costume (figure is in wooden case from the waist-up). When plugged in and switched on, figure bends down, her eyes and eyebrows move, and her head bows. She picks up a sign, shows it, and puts it back, then she gets a different sign - in a continuous loop. These signs appear to have been updated with humorous sayings in the 1990s - it is likely that the previous signs were advertisements. Approximately 23 x 18 x 24 1/2". Working. Third party shipping or customer pick up required.
Condition
Some wear, soiling to figure. Some restoration to automaton.
