Half polished calf over marbled boards, raised bands with gilt rolls, spine compartments with tooled fleuron centerpieces inside an elaborate gilt ribbon border, two morocco spine labels titled in gilt, a.e.m., marbled endpapers. Frontispieces in each volume. Profusely illustrated with 60 steel engraved etchings. woodcuts, maps, and facsimiles. Tall 8vos. Extremities gently rubbed; strong joints, interior clean and bright.
