Johnson, Samuel. The Works of Samuel Johnson, L.L.D. Oxford: Talboys and Wheeler/William Pickering 1825. Nine vols., half navy leather with cloth sides, marbled endpapers. First vol. with an engraved portrait frontis. Head of spine to vol. 9 chipped, leather cracked and rubbed elsewhere, occasional light soiling, overall good. Together with: Johnsonian Gleanings (11 vols. in 10; Octagon reprint edn.); Letters of Samuel Johnson (5 vols.; Hyde Edition, 1992/94); and others.
