[VOYAGES AND TRAVELS]. [PUMPELLY, Raphael (1837-1923), editor]. Explorations in Turkestan with an Account of The Basin of Eastern Persia and Sistan. Washington, D. C.: Carnegie Institution of Washington, 1905. 4to. Illustrated in color or black and white, with several folding plates. 324 pp. Contemporary half red morocco over marbled boards, spines lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, top edges gilt, marbled endleaves.
Condition
Spines a bit sunned, some marginal toning, scuffing to boards, some rubbing, edgewear to boards, hinges reinforced, text a bit toned, with some pages soiled. Very good. FIRST EDITION. The 26th publication by the Carnegie Institution.
